Our Harvey nomination got retracted due to a clerical error. Evidently, we weren't even eligible to be nominated because of when our blog started. And there was a book released last year with a similar title to our site...so things got confused.

Maybe next year.

My ex-girlfriend Kym has just opened up her own wine shop in the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn and she's celebrating with a party this Saturday. If you're in the area, swing by and tell her that JC says "hi."


It's official! My wine shop, Blue Angel Wines, is now open for business.

Come celebrate our opening and the summer solstice this Saturday, June 21st from 6-9pm. We will be having a Chips & Solstice party where we will be sampling a selection of organic and small-production wines from around the globe.

Blue Angel Wines is located at 638 Grand St. between Leonard and Manhattan Ave in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

Hey! We put a deposit down on a puppy last week. We can't pick her up until June 14, but we went to visit her today and took a couple pics.
She's a black & white husky, 5 weeks old in these pictures. And we're naming her Trixie. The boys wanted to name her "Speed Racer," but once we explained to them that she was a girl they decided that we could name her after Speed Racer's girlfriend instead...

I finally got a new job.

EDITED FOR OBVIOUSLY NECESSARY INFO:
I will be working for the state Public Utilities Commission...writing press releases, editing a newsletter, recording and posting audio and video from meetings, and traveling across the state giving presentations and manning a PUC booth at various events. Surprisingly, the job takes a bit from all of my previous experiences: advertising, radio and tv production, government communications and even customer service. Lovely.

Now my wife gets to sit at home with the kids for a while...

I finally listed all the leftover stuff from my now-defunct comic book store on eBay.

We're having a third child in July. And, after two wonderful boys, we're finally having a GIRL.
Yikes!

I turn 36 this Friday.
And we just found out we're having our third child (tentatively due July 4th).

I guess I should get a job, huh?

Ah...at least someone (or some inanimate thing) still thinks I'm cool...
